Expanding our expertise

by Kristen Hamilton 15. July 2010 18:35

Datapipe was among the first to achieve Level 1 PCI Certified Service Provider status and we've successfully delivered our turnkey PCI solution to enterprise level clients from a range of industries. Enabling our clients to achieve and maintain compliance requires highly trained experts with outstanding credentials who stay on the cutting edge of technology and best practices.  When the PCI DSS Security Standards Council announced a certification program for Internal Security Assessors, our security professional immediately enrolled in the program. We are proud to announce that this great team recently earned ISA certification at the very first North America-based training!

According to the PCI DSS SSC website, "The PCI SSC Internal Security Assessor Program (”ISA Program”) provides an opportunity for eligible internal security audit professionals of qualifying organizations to receive PCI DSS training and certification to improve the organization’s understanding of the PCI DSS, facilitate the organization’s interactions with QSAs, enhance the quality, reliability, and consistency of the organization’s internal PCI DSS self-assessments, and support the consistent and proper application of PCI DSS measures and controls."

Our security team was joined by other professionals from Dell, Carlson, Qwest, Nintendo, American Airlines, and Panasonic. Bolstered by this new level of training, Datapipe's security team can deliver even greater value  for our clients as they work with a QSA to achieve and maintain compliance. Compliance requirements are constantly evolving and programs like this one are a great opportunity to deepen our expertise so we can better serve our clients.

Optimizing Managed Security Operations

by Kristen Hamilton 13. July 2010 21:59

Today's digital economy means that just about every business and organization out there has to find a way to secure their IT assets to protect mission-critical data and meet some level of compliance regulations. Datapipe provides our clients with a range of security and compliance solutions that run on industry-leading technology services such as Tripwire Enterprise . As a result of implementing Tripwire's continuous audit solution for PCI DSS, we've been able to broaden the implementation of our managed security best practices.

"Many of our clients face compliance requirements from multiple industries. While PCI DSS is a well-defined, rigorous standard for those in the payment card industry, many of the other industry requirements are unclear, making it difficult for businesses to assess their level of compliance," said Joel Friedman, Chief Security Officer at Datapipe.

In response, an increasing number of businesses outside the payment card industry are deploying PCI DSS solutions across the enterprise to meet a range of industry requirements. "With Tripwire's best-in-class solution, our clients are able to strengthen their security and compliance stance across the enterprise," Friedman said.

Datapipe is an EPA Green Power Partner

by Administrator 27. April 2010 01:51

Datapipe GreenJust one month after announcing that our New Jersey data centers will be 100% powered by renewable energy we can proudly say we are partners in the U.S.  Environmental Protection Agency’s (E.P.A.’s) Green Power Partnership.  The purchase of nearly nine million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power annually, that now powers our Somerset-One facility, has qualified us for such an honor.  The data center became powered solely on renewable energy resources immediately following the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) through Constellation NewEnergy.  This purchase demonstrates our proactive choice to switch away from traditional sources of electricity generation and support cleaner, renewable energy alternatives.  As Robb (Datapipe CEO Robb Allen) has said previously, “Investing in sustainable energy is the right thing to do for our kids, our community and our clients.”  We are all proud of this announcement and look forward to the further Greening of Datapipe.
